DIRECTIONS TO AL BASTINI
FROM LA SPEZIA/LIVORNO (motorway)
Take Lucca exit.
FROM FLORENCE (motorway)
Take motorway signposted Firenze-Mare and take the Lucca exit.
FROM PISA AIRPORT (motorway)
- Follow green signs for Genova and Firenze
- Follow green signs to Autostrada
- Follow green sign A11/A12 to Genova, to the right
- Go straight ahead following green Genova-Livorno A12 sign
- After the toll booth, go on A12 to Genova
- After 10 km, follow green sign to Firenze
- Leave at Lucca exit to motorway
- Turn left at motorway exit towards city walls
- Go over the bridge and turn left at the city walls
THEN
Follow the blue signs to Viareggio.
After approximately 3 km from Lucca, you will cross the river Serchio at Ponte San Pietro.
You will pass a Q8 petrol station on your left and further on on your right you will see a showroom on the corner for kitchens, bathrooms etc. Turn right here and you are on the via delle gavine.
Follow this road for about 1 km and you will arrive at a junction with a small painted roundabout-follow the sign to Piazzano.
Shortly you will see on your left a SQUARE REDBRICK TOWER.
At this point start counting buildings on your right. After the third you will arrive at two houses together on the road on your right, just before a CLAP bus-stop.
Take the second driveway signposted ’Carbonari, Ricci, Martini’, which is tarmacked and takes you past what looks like a house's front garden, continue up the hill passing a mustard coloured villa and
the next house is Al Bastini.
